Junior Software Developer

Job Description

Working within a small team you will be

• Assisting with Customer support queries
• Bug fixing existing application code
• Coding new features within the .Net (Thick Client) Orca UI
• Coding and testing new endpoints within the Orca API library
• Coding and testing a new Orca (Thin Client) UI for a future cloud based Orca solution

Experience Required

The ideal candidate will have experience with most of the following:

• C#
• VB.NET
• WinForms
• ASP.NET MVC
• ASP.NET WebForms
• Unit Testing (TDD or test after)
• SQL Server 2008 R2+
• Version control systems (we use Git)

Experience of any of the following would be advantageous:

• DevExpress WinForms
• ServiceStack
• JavaScript
• A modern JavaScript framework (AngularJS / Ember.js / React)
• Kendo UI
• Octopus Deploy
• Continuous Integration (we use TeamCity)
• Build scripting (we use Rake and Cake)

Working Days

Monday to Friday

Working Hours

9am to 5.30pm with 1 hour lunch break

Holiday Leave

20 days per year (4 weeks)
plus bank holidays

Salary

Negotiable depending on experience
