Starting Out
Like any start up business, we came from humble beginnings. Graham Adkin founded the company in 1991. He worked from home until we were able to move into our first office, on the high street in Yeadon, a suburb of Leeds.
This didn’t detract from the quality of the products and services we were able to deliver; we learned early on that the best way to develop software that meets and exceeds the needs of our customers is to evolve our products continuously based on feedback.
Agency Manager
In 1997, we released Agency Manager, a software product designed purely for debt collection agencies.
In the following decade, we continued the approach of product evolution, which enabled Agency Manager to grow into one of the most flexible and feature rich platforms a DCA could ever hope for.
Although no longer on sale today, we still support and develop the system for many customers who are happy to continue using Agency Manager. They are safe in the knowledge that they have a tried and tested system and that we’ll always be on hand to support them for as long as they need us to be.
Moving to Harrogate
Due to the success of Agency Manager, our growing company needed to expand into new premises. When Graham heard about the plans for the development of a high tech business park in Harrogate, he knew that this would be suitable for our new home.
We watched as our brand new, state of the art offices were constructed, and in February 2006 we were able to move in.
ORCA
By 2007, technology had moved on. We knew that eventually even a system as trusted and reliable as Agency Manager would be overtaken by software that could harness new possibilities. We recognised that to grow our company, we needed a product that could reach a wider market.
By the beginning of 2008, we had developed designs for a system that would take advantage of the latest technology available on the Microsoft Platform.
Over the following 18 months, working closely with our customer base, we delivered a system derived from extensive feedback, building on and improving the features that made Agency Manager a success.
In 2009 we began trials of ORCA with selected customers, and by January 2010 ORCA was ready for general release. It continues to grow in popularity and we remain committed to its evolution.
